preparing for first baby, mothers out there please help!?
how many newborn outfits should i have?
how many and what size diapers do i need to buy?
how many sheets for crib?
should i get a boppy pillow for nursing?
what should i get for my nipples if they get chapped or sore?
what brand of diaper rash ointment do you recommend?
is it safe to put my newborn in a full size crib?
what is the safest way to put infant to bed? is it safe to cover her up with blankets or will she suffocate?
and any advice on taking care of a newborn would be great.

You want to have a good bit of outfits in newborn and 0-3 month because they are not all the same size, i have some 0-3 month clothes that are smaller than the new born clothes and vice versa. Definitely have newborn sized diapers and size 1 diapers, some babies go into size 1′s within the first couple of weeks. my son didn’t though he is just a little guy, almost 6 months old and still in size 1s lol. You probably want a good amount of sheets for the crib too, i would start out with 5. I loved my boppy pillow, so much easier to breast feed with it. I used the Lansinoh cream for my nipples, it was amazing, your nipples feel better almost instantly and you don’t have to wipe it off before nursing again its safe for the baby. Diaper rash cream, I use A&D ointment, both the cream and the thicker vaseline type, they are amazing and clear up diaper rash very quickly. I also use goldbond baby powder, its very good at helping to reduce the moisture in the diaper which causes diaper rash. It is very safe to put your newborn in a full sized crib. And better that he/she gets used to it sooner than later. Always put her in bed on her back. If you need to use a blanket make sure it is tucked under the mattress tightly so when she moves her arms she can not get it over her face. Congratulations!
